Graduate student in Applied Science at Saint Mary's University. Holds a BSc in Natural and Environmental Sciences from Italy. Her research explores how pollutants from abandoned mines affect forest edge ecosystems, with a focus on mercury and arsenic.

Rachel Schillinger

Honours Biology student at Saint Mary’s University, minoring in Global Environmental Politics. Her research investigates herbivory in restinga vegetation in northeastern Brazil.

Roxanne van Rooyen

Forestry professional from British Columbia, beginning her MSc at Saint Mary's University in 2025. Her upcoming research will examine edge effects of resource roads on wildlife habitat and connectivity. She holds a BSc in Natural Resource Science from Thompson Rivers University.
